Gordon Forrest came to HappyBottoms for help through our partner agency Jewish Family Services Food Pantry. He says his family was "in a tough financial spot, like many people in the U.S." Gordon says keeping his 6 month old baby Dante in diapers was very expensive, and he can't even explain how much HappyBottoms helped them. "The money we don't pay for diapers keeps clothes on his back and food in his stomach," Gordon says. "If we ever hit the lotto, HappyBottoms will be stocked!" Gordon says he just started a new job and is so grateful that HappyBottoms was able to help out his family while they were struggling.
Kannie Donnell is a HappyBottoms client through United Inner City Services. After having her son, she was not able to return to work for health reasons. She is grateful for the diapers she received from HB: "With the help of HappyBottoms, some stress has been taken off my shoulders. We greatly appreciate all of the volunteers and donors for helping families like me. I was a person that would be afraid to ask for any help, but sometimes you have to put that pride aside for the sake of your little ones and family. When I see other mothers struggling, I refer them to HappyBottoms. Sometimes in life we will have a small struggle here and there and shouldn't be afraid to ask for a little help for the sake of our babies.
