Beth started working at HappyBottoms in September 2016. For the past three years, she had been at home with her young son. Before becoming a parent, Beth spent nearly a decade working for journalism nonprofits where she managed several prestigious awards programs. From 2011-2013 she managed the duPont Awards and the John Chancellor Award programs at Columbia University. Prior to that, she was the Resource Center Director for Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she coordinated the annual IRE Awards from 2004-2011.
Beth’s son only recently graduated from diapers, so the realities of diapering - the number you go through, the expense, the impact on a baby’s well-being - are still fresh for her. She is delighted to be a part of the team at HappyBottoms working to bridge the diaper need gap and making sure all the little bottoms in Kansas City are covered.
When she’s not at HappyBottoms, Beth and her family enjoy exploring their new hometown of Kansas City.
